Alessandro Armetta

Alessandro Armetta was born in Palermo in 1960. He graduated in 2015 from Liceo Artistico and then in 2021 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo. He's currently enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts of Turin and works between Turin and his hometown.

The essence of Alessandro Armetta's artistic research materializes in the frenetic and obsessive repetition of a sign. With exasperation this sing bursts into space through fragmentary lines which, from time to time, alter the multiple materials used. The reiteration of this sign often escapes the control of his conscience and drags the artist to another place, leaving him free to escape from the apathetic daily life that surrounds him, leaving him free to survive.
