Anne Ghez
Biography
Anne Ghez is above all a passionate, creative, inventive woman, loving challenges and endowed with a great artistic sense.
From the age of 17, Anne Ghez, attracted by creation and materials, began to develop a line of costume jewellery. Quickly noticed by big names in fashion like Monsieur de Givenchy, she decided to launch her company Anne Ghez Creations. His jewelry will quickly be sold in multiple outlets such as Galeries Lafayette and in fashion designers, Givenchy, Lanvin, Michel Klein and Hanaé Mori. Barely 3 years after the launch of the first collection, Anne Ghez Creations jewelry is rapidly exported to Europe and Asia, becoming a reference brand in Italy, Japan…. The Anne Ghez Creations brand will also develop in hair accessories which will quickly be referenced at Séphora, Marionnaud, Jacadi...
Anne Ghez quickly became one of the young entrepreneurs of her generation noticed by the press.
Also fascinated by art, a bit avant-garde, she wanted to make it accessible and created Impresario in 1996, which represents painters and distributes their numbered reproductions of contemporary paintings to decoration stores and in her own boutiques. This activity allows a large public to access art but also to develop the notoriety of the talents it identifies. She herself will create paintings for Impresario under her artist name Anna Di Stella, which will be a great success, and reinforce her always inexhaustible desire to create and evolve in the artistic universe. This will allow him for 20 years to be as close as possible to creation and artists and to have his own paintings sold in galleries or in stores. Impresario is a great success.
After a remarkable development for nearly 35 years, Anne Ghez decided to sell her activities in 2017 and 2018 to refocus on creation, her initial engine which never left her but which she put a little aside or under - treaty to manage and manage its companies and its collaborators.
Entrepreneur at heart, particularly curious and open, Anne Ghez will once again be interested in multiple materials and techniques but with a credo that has held her for several years in the face of a stock of more than 300,000 components: to give a second life to her jewelry that she has created and accumulated over many years. With its components of all materials, colors and shapes, inspired by Caesar's cuts, it wishes to make unique and accessible pieces for art lovers, individuals or places such as hotels or restaurants.
She creates her first pieces in 2020 by choosing to combine her jewelry with wood, plexi and resin.
She begins to work sculpture with mixtures of materials by combining the raw and primary side of wood with the preciousness and sophistication of jewelry to give another dimension to these two materials. The wood is selected for its designs, its veins, its color, its strength, its warmth, and worked in sensual shapes to embed precious jewels that will sublimate the piece created. The oppositions of raw and precious materials are a real distinctive sign. Her jewels are always the starting point, her trademark, her story.
Her creative universe will be completed by plexiglass lights, precious and airy boxes featuring jewelry as if suspended in the void and subtly lit by LEDs. Here again, she works with a combination of materials between the transparency and the lightness of plexi associated with the brilliance and colors of jewellery.
