Introducing "Artful Strike," a captivating sculpture that masterfully blends movement and form. Crafted from iron, basalt, and perlite, this dynamic piece measures 30x25x30 cm and weighs 2.6 kg. The sculpture depicts a human figure in mid-air, executing a striking action with a spherical object crafted from perlite. The figure's intricate iron wire construction and the sturdy basalt base create a striking visual contrast, symbolizing both fluidity and strength.
The artist's skillful manipulation of materials brings this moment of athletic prowess to life, making "Artful Strike" a powerful addition to any contemporary art collection. The sculpture resonates with themes of precision, balance, and dynamic energy, capturing the essence of a pivotal moment.

Karen Axikyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1963. He always likes art and lives in it. During different periods of his life Karen Axikyan was interested in different spheres of art. First he was drawing oil paintings, then he started to paint wonderful batik scarves and then he moved to amazing world of sculptures. In two words he is in interested in everything that is connected with art. During the last 15 years he is creating metal sculptures. It seems he has a huge zoo with its different and wild animals. As Karen Axikyans says, he doesn`t decide which animal what kind of emotion must have the sculpture itself decide its emotion. Without having cultural education he was always in art, the only education he got was the artist who was his neighbor and he was usually spent his time following the artists works. Karen Axikyan says that the metal is an instrument through which he is able to transmit his emotional states. During creating a sculpture his soul seems to be cleansed. His latest collection is called “Little world" because the sculptures are so small that they can fit in the palm. Less
