After classical training, Cléa-Chantal Léandri followed classes at the Atelier Imagine for three years with the Swiss painter Thierry Bugnion. With him, she perfected her basic techniques of watercolor, gouache, acrylic and oil. She completed her art during numerous Master classes at the “Moulin de Perrot" painting academy with teachers such as the painters Jequel, Jérôme Tisserand, Thibaud de Reimpre and especially the Italian painter Giacarlo Bargoni. She will admit that it is thanks to the latter that she discovered her true nature in the movement of lyrical expression. This movement interests him to the greatest extent. The artist can thus give free rein to his gestures and his creative imagination.
His masters: Georges Mathieu (for drawing), Jean Fautrier, Tapies, Hartung, Pollock and Pierre Alechinsky.
Fascinated by matter and curious about all the new molecules that technology makes available to us, the artist lives perfectly anchored in her time. His research leads him to implement any discovery that appeals to him, thus giving his works a very particular touch, “his" signature.
After all these years of study and questioning, Cléa-Chantal Léandri is moving towards a tachist Abstraction which is similar to automatic writing. A declared poet yesterday, she is still subject to its happy influences. “Work on the background of the canvas by throwing in different baths of pigments which will take time to dry, analyze the color spots and if the canvas background seems satisfactory, just start painting." This way of proceeding gives him complete freedom over the stains. “The interpretation of the brain in relation to the eye and multiple baths transcends colored pigments".
The characteristics of this very endearing artist: the search for the musicality of all the details, the elevation of the spirit, freedom and... work.
