Biography
Born in Bergamo in 1974, after a few years he moved to Corato where he attended the Art Institute and graduated in metals and goldsmithing. He then attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari in the sculpture section but without finishing it. Always accustomed to working with different materials, over the years he has pursued a path between two poles, a material one, necessary for survival and an immaterial one, in which he expresses his drive to go beyond matter.
During his early years he used wood, stone, iron, then from the early 2000s he felt the need to go beyond classical sculpture made of compact material and started to work with wire mesh, experimenting with light, shadows and space.
The progressive dematerialization of Corrado Bove's sculpture therefore becomes the expression of a yearning to detach itself from material things, from the earth and to be in more than one dimension heading towards shapes that represent something immaterial such as beams of lights, of dust, of something that is in any case beyond space.
