Biography
Fanjol is a French artist who lives and works in Paris.
Being mainly a sculptor, Fanjol creates bronze sculptures with cast iron or sand, of which she does only eight copies, inspired by subjects such as couples, family, maternity, love and dance. Between figuration and abstraction, her sculptures are marked by a great sensuality, combining volutes and protruding and sleek lines, in the dynamism and the colors that she uses.
Constrained by the material, her main objective is to not lose the emotion that inspired her to create her pieces. Curves of men bent by desire, cambers of beloved women, intertwined bodies, Fanjol tries to make emotion omnipresent in each one of his pieces.
Fanjol is a member of the Salon d'Automne at the Grand Palais since 1987 and her works are part of several private and public collections in France, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, the United States, Finland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Qatar and Switzerland.
