Artwork location: France

This remarkable work of art, with its vibrant colors and distinctive style, immediately captures the attention. The artist uses a bold palette of blues, greens, oranges and yellows to create a scene that seems to vibrate with energy and life. The pointillist texture, combined with organic shapes reminiscent of trees or corals, gives the composition a tactile and almost hypnotic dimension. The stylized plant forms with their marked contours and detailed fillings evoke a reinvented, almost chimerical nature. Each element seems to have been carefully thought out and positioned to create a perfect visual balance. The shades of green and orange blend harmoniously into a deep blue background, intensifying the contrast and relief of each form. Particularly striking is the use of pointillism, a technique that adds not only visual richness but also depth and complexity to the work. The repetitive dot patterns, creating subtle gradients and variations in tone, generate an internal dynamic in the image, making it almost move before the eye. This work is a celebration of color, form and artistic gesture. It transcends simple representations of nature by transforming them into a dreamlike, bold and deeply captivating vision. The artist, through his audacity and technical mastery, invites us to dive into a universe where every detail counts, where every color tells a story and where every shape has a reason for being. A true visual symphony that does not leave one indifferent.

Angelo Pioppo, Forêt neuronale
France  • 1986

Presentation

A graduate of the École du Louvre and a member of the famous Taylor Foundation created in 1844, Angelo Pioppo is a French artist born in 1986, whose promising talent has drawn the attention of the public and that of collectors.

Inspired by his many travels around the globe, his artistic endeavours take many shapes. Angelo Pioppo started his career as a photojournalist, and then pursued his creative passion and began painting and drawing.

From Cuba to the Sahara in Mauritania, via the United States and South Africa, our planet is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Angelo Pioppo. He discovered a kaleidoscope with a thousand colours and uses in his works mythical figures that he got to know over the years.

Inspired by the precursors of contemporary art, and in particular by the creators of pop art and neo-expressionism of the New York scene, Angelo Pioppo pays tribute to them in expressive and structured original creations.

Thus, paying hommage to these artists, he revisits Andy Warhol's Campbell's Tomato Soup Cans, adapting them to the present by tackling contemporary issues, and condemning the excesses of our century's consumer society. This is how his new soup cans - "Cocaine", "Subprime Crisis", "Molotov Cocktail" or "Plutonium" - come to life...

Pioppo also dedicates one of his cans to Yves Klein's Blue, a colour that now bears the name of the forerunner of the post-war pictorial avant-garde: Klein blue.

Angelo Pioppo's super colorful and uncompromising painting is marked by a certain transgression that constantly invites the spectator to reflection and to daydream. Five centuries apart, Pioppo can be compared to the Italian Giuseppe Arcimboldo, known for his "Four Seasons". Two men with a unique vision of the world.
