Biography
Born in 1958 in Nancy, she has her studio in Sainte Eulalie d'Olt, France. A graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nancy, Brigitte Iemfré writes and illustrates books for children. The last years she dedicated herself to her main passion that is sculpture, working with molded and glazed clay.
Today she is known particularly for her animals to which we cannot remain indifferent: their rounded shapes and the strength that they emit as well as their very contemporary colors are impressive.
Since 2010,she has been producing sculptural paintings deeply rooted in her sculptural work. Through this new medium, Gite Iemfré share with us her sarcastic look on our society.
