Maïté Martinez is a sculptor and engraver.

Maïté Martinez's imagination was nourished by the sources of Galicia, which irrigate a tumultuous, strong and singular nature, impregnated with the humus of magic, and cradle of stories transmitted and whispered by endearing, deep, sincere, credulous, lucid and mischievous men and women at the same time.

After a master's degree in cinematographic studies and research, then applied arts, Maïté Martinez explored sculpture and engraving techniques. And it is through clay, as a welcoming land, that everything begins... Narrative and figurative bronzes are born, offering a poetic playground in which we enjoy following her mischievously transgressive animals and characters who suggest interpretations, hold up mirrors, sow doubt, play with words... tell stories! ...

Then an exchange begins, we are surprised, doubtful, questioned, smile, then we slide towards a silent conversation, a sweet and delicious connivance...
