Biography
Born in 1953 in Passo Fundo, a city in the south of Brazil. She started working at the age of 16 for a publishing house. Married with two children, she left for São Paulo where she had her first solo exhibition at the São Paulo Art Museum in 1983, invited by Professor Pietro Maria Bardi.
She also exhibits individually at the Uniao Cultural Brazil-EUA Gallery in São Paulo (1987), at the Nini Barontini Gallery in Curitiba (1996) and at the Jacques Ardies Gallery in São Paulo (2008). Abroad, she participates in several group exhibitions in the United States, Spain, Russia, Malaysia, France, Israel and Monaco, among others.
His compositions, inspired by the countryside and the tropical forest of Brazil, represent village scenes populated by beautiful, happy and very healthy people. Mara likes to represent the work during the harvest, but also other moments of the life of the countryside, such as the hours of relaxation and the festive commemorations.
