Micaela Piñero
She works with metal, paint and writing. Her work engages with the universal and the personal through a series of objects such as jewellery, trivial forms and archetypes.

She lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. She is a Professor and Graduate in Visual Arts, National University of La Plata
Master in Visual Arts and Education, University of Barcelona. 2017 Fellow of the Center for Artistic Research and 2023 Fellow of the Artists Program of the Torcuato Di Tella University.
In 2001 she began her training in painting with Vasily Tretiakov, in 2015 in jewelry with Héctor Ruíz and Juan Carlos Pallarols
She did a work clinic with Leila Tschopp, Pablo Siquier, Juliana Iriart and Alejandra Aguado. Her project Take me to meet the ocean, was selected in the call for individual projects of the Buenos Aires Young Art Biennial 2019, C.C. Recoleta. She obtained the mobility scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of the Nation 2019
Radar Literature Award (2017 and 2018) and selection for the Visual Arts Award of the National Arts Fund (2019 and 2022). She participated in collective exhibitions and poetry recitals in Argentina, Peru, Chile, Spain, France, England, Germany, Mexico and the United States. She founded the poetry collective Las Pibas where she published as an author and editor of fanzines and booklets between 2011 and 2018. Her poems were published and translated in different compilations for Argentina, the United States, Spain and Mexico. She published the poetry collection Universidad de la violencia in 2018, by Mansalva publishing house. In 2019 she held her first solo exhibition “I spent all these years building a shelter", curated by Jimena Ferreiro. He participated in the arteBA 2019 fair, Utopía sector, Pinta Parc 2023, Peru and did a single show at Swab art fair, Barcelona.
