The troubled world in which we live enriches my creativity, it is a liberation, an escape, a journey but also a message which reflects my sensations and my feelings.
Biography
Monique Dardeau is a French artist born in 1960 who lives and works in the area of Pau.
She first did a training with a painter during a year and then she continued her personal artistic research and experimented with different techniques to finally choose acrylics, oil paint and watercolor as her favorite medium.
She plays with the material to capture all the details of the vegetation that she represents, nature is one of her greatest sources of inspiration. Her numerous trips to other countries have a strong impact in her work as well.
She always uses bright colors, in her realistic landscapes and in her almost geometric abstract compositions, very attentive to the effects of light, highlighting the tonalities of her palette.
She obtained the medal of honor at the International Salon of Nantes in 2006 as well as the prize of honor and prestige at the International Salon MCA in Cannes Azur in 2007, among others. Her work has been exhibited at the Alliance Française, in Houston, US.
