Artwork location: France
This artwork is a striking composition that immediately captures the attention with its masterful use of color and line. The image features a fascinating gradient of vibrant colors, from cool tones of blue and green on the left, to warm shades of red and pink on the right. Each color blends seamlessly with the others, creating a captivating visual effect. The vertical lines that run throughout the work play a central role in this composition. They are finely drawn and vary in density, with some revealing the underlying colors more pronounced than others. This technique gives the work a unique depth and texture, inviting the viewer to peer more closely to appreciate all the subtle details. The juxtaposition of bright colors and fine lines creates a dynamic, almost hypnotic visual rhythm. The eye is naturally guided from top to bottom and then from left to right, discovering a new nuance, a new detail with each passage. The structured organization of lines contrasts perfectly with the fluid blending of colors, resulting in a harmonious balance between structure and chaos. This artwork is distinguished by its bold exploration of chromatic contrasts and its ability to evoke a multitude of emotions and interpretations. It embodies a perfect harmony between technical precision and artistic expressiveness, making it a visually intriguing and deeply engaging piece.

Presentation
Painting as a fullness of color
Painting until then in a semi-figurative style, it was in 2012 following his move to Burgundy that a real renaissance took place in Laurent Prudot's work.
The form then completely disappears from his concerns, and it is at the end of this year 2012 that his interest in the abstract becomes the center of his research.
In total contradiction with his previous works, Laurent Prudot now sees life as an explosion of light and colors.
A “geometric" abstractionIt was at this time that the use of his "Monotamprientes", a mixture of monotype, imprint, and stamp, which he made himself, resurfaced.
This abstraction that he describes as “geometric" takes the form of regular squares and other vertical line-signs, with an idea of repetition and assumed rehashing very present in all of his work.
He explores the different possible variations and plays between the intensity of the colors and the white of the support, which gives his approach all its singularity.
From the semi-figurative style of his beginnings, the artist has evolved towards a clearer, more architectural, more constructed art.
We could easily attribute Paul Valéry's words to Laurent Prudot: "Nothing is more dangerous than making painting speak. Painting is something to look at."
Thus, thanks to the importance of rhythm between forms and space, his work expresses itself and succeeds in engaging his audience in a true poetic experience.
