Biography
Driven by boundless creativity, Ousmane Dermé brings the human figure to life, sculpting the beauty emanating from nature and life. His bronzes reveal soft shapes and clean lines, offering a fascinating harmony and serenity that never ceases to captivate the eye.
Originally from Burkina Faso, the artist learned the lost-wax casting technique from an early age, and handles the art of fire with impressive dexterity. It was in the 80s that he decided to devote himself fully to his art. It was a bold choice, but one that soon paid off, as he created the monument to the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in Ouagadougou.
