Biography
Rémy Demestre born in Jonzac in 1990, a child with a dreamy attitude, head in the air, was what best described him in his schooling. Neither good nor bad, Rémy was not made for major studies, even if certain subjects were very fascinating such as History, Geography and French. He always said to himself, you don't need to go to school to enrich yourself intellectually and continue learning.
Passionate about History, old objects, art, music, psychology, he decided in September 2016 to buy an easel, some tubes of paints and three brushes in order to find a new way of expressing himself and to evacuate too much emotion.
One evening, pencil of paper, A4 sheet, he draws lines and makes triangles that touch each other, he finds it nice and energizing, the next day he decides to make a canvas with triangles on a black background, then to paint each triangles in color, the result is very satisfactory, it is geometric, and at the same time dynamic, so that the canvas will be called “Energy”.
The geometry inspires him, it is abstract and, at the same time speaking without wanting to say anything, a feeling purely emotional.
Rémy also likes to paint with a knife, when he is unable to hold a brush… or to paint flowers, when he feels the necessary moment to do so, flowers with a psychedelic character against a background of geometry.
He works in acrylic, in spontaneity, the canvas is finished, once everything there is to say is said.
Each canvas allows him to find the balance he needs.
