Biography
Sahara (1988) is a contemporary pop artist based in Prague (The Czech Republic) and France. Sahara is primarily known for her street art murals and mixed media works on canvas. Her murals are located in Prague (The Czech Republic), Paris (France), Krakow (Poland), Berlin (Germany), and many other cities around Europe.
A distinctive feature of her artworks is the transformation of famous works of the old masters and the use of classic symbols of pop art. Her paintings are exquisite, yet vibrant and individual, just like the contemporary art scene. There is a subtle thread of humour or social question hidden in every painting.
Thanks to her amazing style and interesting technique, we can call Sahara one of the most interesting and promising young contemporary artists in Europe. Despite the growing popularity of the artist, it is not known for certain who she is. She is very protective of her personality and her personal life.
Paintings created by Sahara are kept in the hands of private collectors in Europe (primarily Switzerland, France & Germany), the USA, and Asia. One of the latest exhibitions of her works was held in Europe (The Pop Vibes Only Exhibition Tour 2022).
Each of her paintings is unique and hand-signed by the author. Sahara works with different media, and thanks to the many layers of paint and other materials, her work can be said to be made in the street art technique. We include a Certificate of Authenticity with every Sahara painting.
