Two pieces including the blue wave that can be separated with the baby sculpture

New creation of 2024

Available in gallery

The sculpture features a sleeping baby, its delicate form nestled in a fantastical blue water that seems to be a part of the baby's dreamscape that protects her/him. The soft, rounded contours of the baby's body are expertly sculpted, capturing the gentle curves and tender vulnerability of a newborn. The baby's face, serene and smiling, evokes a profound sense of calm and joy, drawing the viewer into its tranquil slumber.

Binbin's craftsmanship shines in the intricate details. The baby's skin appears almost lifelike, with subtle variations in texture and tone that highlight the artist's meticulous attention to detail. The soft creases and folds of the baby's body are rendered with exquisite precision, enhancing the realism and emotional impact of the piece.

In the end, I will install this human body on the mirror-polished water ripples in hand-polished bronze surface, which is another change in the theme of water. I look forward to this visual effect.

Presentation

Liang Binbin is a Chinese artist living in Belgium. He was born in 1979 in Zhejiang Province, China. The artist grew up and did his studies at the Beijing Institute of Art & Design (Decoration Art department) in China.

Over the last 17 years, contemporary sculptures and monumental size installations in bronze and stainless steel have been made and widely exhibited in many galleries in China. Also he participated in numerous National and International exhibitions.

The work of Liang Binbin is magnificent because it bears witness to a very feminine and accomplished presence. It inspires, it inspires love… In addition, it is of great aesthetic beauty. His sculptures illustrate woman in a deep and magic moment of herself. Tenderly and proudly, she is in her thought, a meditation, a dream… Her mind blowing up to the sky forming an growing spirit that shines and touches our heart. The work of the artist is very introspective. Liang Binbin has made a place where this woman is in her own world. These moments can be very intense. Minutes can become hours and hours become years when we are in deep meditation. The rest of the world no longer exists and time takes on its full value. The luxury of this time that we want to offer ourselves... In addition, this emotion is very skilfully represented by the artist on the face of this woman where her face is in serenity, and in a deep happiness and tender love. Through it, our imagination can lead us to a lot of scenarios and stories,... or simply our own.

Liang Binbin sculpts fascinating, singular and unique figure, the synthesis of forms and thoughts, expresses the reality of life and profonde sensations and complex emotions of human being, aspiring to freedom and imprints itself for ever on our minds. What makes the artist unique is his perfection of the line, the body, the movement that reduced to the essential of human life that assuredly speaks to everyone at the very depth of their being...
