Biography
Walasse Ting is an American artist of Chinese origin. He lived in France for 7 years, then moved to the US and then to Amsterdam. He died in New York.
In Paris, in the 1950s, he met avant-garde artists such as Karel Appel, Asger Jorn et Pierre Alechinsky.
Walasse Ting's art is inspired by pop art and abstract expressionism. He was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship (for drawing) in 1970.
